This article walks through how to select requirements and send them to a client for review.

Before you send

Make sure your requirements are in a state you're comfortable sharing. Once sent, requirements are visible to your client immediately.

How to send requirements

  1. Navigate to the requirements tab for your project

  2. Select the requirements you want to share - you can filter the list while selecting, and your selections will be retained

  3. Click Send for Review

  4. Select the client contact(s) you want to notify

  5. Confirm β€” Glossa generates a magic link and sends an email notification to your client

What gets sent

The client receives an email with a magic link. The link opens the client portal, where they can see:

  • All requirements you've marked for their review, organized by category

  • The requirement title, description, and if it exists the user story for each item

  • The current status of each requirement (e.g., Draft, In Progress)

Internal comments are never visible to the client.

Sending already-approved requirements

You can send requirements regardless of their current status β€” including requirements that have already been approved. This is useful when a stakeholder needs visibility into the full scope, or when you're onboarding a new client contact mid-project.

Clients will be able to comment on already approved requirements, but they will not be able to un-approve them or flag them for review.

Resending the link

If your client's magic link has expired or they've lost it, you can resend it from the project view. Magic links are valid for 7 days.

Removing requirements from the client portal

Once you've sent a requirement to the client portal, you can revert it from review. Once you revert it from review, the client will no longer be able to see it in the portal. All prior activity will still be saved to the requirement, including when you sent the requirement for review and when you reverted it.

To revert a single requirement for review:

  • On the Requirements tab, find the requirement you want to revert from review

  • Click the three dots on the row and select Revert from Review

To revert multiple requirements for review:

  • On the Requirements tab, select the requirements you want to revert from review using checkboxes

  • Click Revert from Review

Note that you can filter the requirements view and your checkboxes will remain checked. You'll only see the Revert from Review option if the requirement has already been sent.
